Study programme
The Bachelor’s degree program in Cultural and Creative Industries is structured into five areas, each of which will play a fundamental role in your training, covering the theoretical, technical and practical aspects you need for your future professional development.
The subject matter of the degree program and hence the curriculum are based on these five modules. The aim is for you to delve into your studies from different perspectives and areas of knowledge so that you will obtain a comprehensive vision of the sector and of your future profession.
Area 1
Theoretical framework of the Cultural and Creative Industries
The objective of this area is to provide you with an understanding of the conceptual, historical and critical bases of the origin, evolution, foundations and branches of the Cultural and Creative Industries. Thus, in this area you will develop skills related to the law, to ethics and to the transmission of the Basque culture, among other things, and you will examine the trends and challenges of the sector.
Area 2
Communication and challenges in cultural action
The Cultural and Creative Industries have a very close relationship with the field of communication, which is the vehicle through which the process of creation, visibility and distribution of any cultural project is promoted. In this area, you will work, for example, on aspects related to audiovisual communication, digital technologies, communicative strategy and research techniques.
Area 3
Cultural management, production, creation and mediation
In this area, you will not be trained as a mere cultural manager, but rather you will develop an innovative professional profile in which you are capable of combining the ability to devise creative proposals and new formats and the ability to transform those ideas into viable projects. In this area, you will focus on aspects such as management in cultural and creative environments, the importance of heritage, cultural mediation, economics in the world of culture, and digital marketing.
Area 4
Academic experiences and internships
Through the two external internships you will carry out in your third and fourth years of study, together with the module in which you will delve into international projects, you will have direct contact with the world of work. You will first learn to adapt to the work environment and culture, in order to later apply and develop the knowledge, skills and competencies you have acquired in both national and international contexts.
Area 5
Specialization in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries
Through different electives, you will specialize in one of the three tracks described below.
1. Mediation and visual arts.
2. Fashion and design.
3. Music and stage.
